Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Stoprover mobile application and website (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

Stoprover grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
  • Use automated scripts or bots to generate routes or query the Service at scale
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its related systems
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or resell any part of the Service without written permission

2. Accounts

You may use the basic features of Stoprover without creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us immediately at support@stoprover.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Stoprover offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. By subscribing to Premium:

  • You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the applicable subscription fee to your payment method on a recurring basis.
  • Monthly subscriptions renew monthly; annual subscriptions renew annually.
  • You may cancel at any time through your account settings or the App Store / Google Play subscription management. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Premium access until then.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. Navigation and Safety

Stoprover is a routing and discovery tool, not a safety-critical navigation system. You are solely responsible for driving safely and obeying all traffic laws. Route suggestions are generated by AI and may occasionally contain errors, suggest routes that are impractical, or include outdated information about points of interest.

Never interact with the app while driving. Set your route before you begin driving. Stoprover accepts no liability for accidents, traffic violations, property damage, personal injury, or any other harm arising from reliance on routes generated by the Service.

Points of interest suggested by Stoprover are sourced from third-party data providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any suggested location, including but not limited to hours of operation, whether the location is open, or whether it matches the description provided.

5. User-Generated Content

If you submit ratings, reviews, or other content through the Service, you grant Stoprover a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content to improve the Service. You represent that you own or have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate anyone else's rights or these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Stoprover name, logo, app design, and all related intellectual property are owned by Stoprover and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STOPROVER AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR PERSONAL INJURY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STOPROVER IN THE SIX MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50 USD.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stoprover and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time through app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
